The Summer colors from China Glaze are some of the most anticipated colors in recent memory for those of us at The Nailscape lab. We couldn’t wait to get our hands on the shimmering bright polishes from the Lite Brites collection! Our fabulous swatcher, Emily, has her impressions on the collection, along with photos. We hope you enjoy these fantastic brights as much as we do!:
This collection is full of bright, neon colors, including some shimmers and some glitter! The formulas are all on the thin side for the cremes. The shimmers and glitters however, were thicker which made them easier to work with.
All of the formulas were opaque in two coats. The polishes that have glitter could be worn with full opacity in one coat, but I used two coats in all of the swatches. The first coat of each color dries pretty fast so you don’t have to wait very long to apply the second coat. Chine Glaze brushes are always a bit on the plastic side, so the first coat is quite streaky, but once you apply the second coat you can’t see any streaks at all.
Bite Me – A watermelon pink color that has contrasting orange shimmers. Same as Let’s Jam, a top coat is a must if you want to see the shimmers, otherwise they get lost in the pink.
Non of Your Risky Business – This is a neon orange creme, its not a hot orange, its a little more tame. If cantaloupe were neon, that’s what this color is.
I Got a Blue Attitude – This is a blue creme that also looks light purple in the light. You can see in the pictures that it looks more blue in the shadows and more purple in the light.
Hot Flash – This is a neon red cream. It Is not just a straight red color though, its like it has some pink in it so it takes that sharp red edge off of the shade.
What I Like About Blue – this is an almost sky blue neon polish with silver and teal shimmers. I like the effect of the two different shimmers in the light. Depending on the lighting it is like they are different polishes.
