We’ve been bursting with this news since we got a secret-squirrel behind the scenes look at the CND Spring 2016 collection at Fashion Week, and now it’s finally here! The CND Art Vandal Collection is irreverent, bright, and absolutely STUNNING. When we were fortunate enough to listen to Jan Arnold present the collection and the inspiration behind it, we knew the nail world was going to LOVE it!
We all got a sneak peek at the collection’s attitude at the SS16 Libertine show, where the inspiration was Blinky Palermo, the pop artist. Bright, bold colors and patterns made up the collection and the nail look from CND. Now, looking at the Art Vandal collection, you can really see how in tune designer and beauty team were this season.
On to the colors!
The CND Art Vandal collection is made up of six Shellac shades, eight Vinylux colors, and five Additives. On the Shellac side, the colors are as follows: Untitled Bronze, Art Basil, Magenta Mischief, Digi-teal, Mauve Maverick, and Future Fuchsia.
The entire collection is bright, bold, and irreverent, and we think they’re perfect for Spring. In person, Untitled Bronze (!!!) and Future Fuchsia were our stand outs.
In Vinylux, the shades are: Untitled Bronze, Art Basil, Irreverent Rose, Magenta Mischief, Sienna Scribble, Digi-teal, Mauve Maverick, and Tutti Frutti. Again, we believe the Must Haves from this collection are Untitled Bronze, Sienna Scribble, Art Basil, and Future Fuchsia.
On the Additive side, the five additives in this collection are: Exhibition – Glitter, Twinkle Pink – Glitter, Confetti Kiss – Glitter, Cobalt Clash – Pigment Effect, and Lavender Whispers – Pigment Effect. In keeping with past collections, one of the glitters is a large paillette style, which can be placed on the nail for a gorgeous effect.
Coming soon, the nail art looks that can be created with Art Vandal are really only limited by your imagination. Your clients are going to love changing from deep and dark Winter shades to these bright, cheery, in your face hues. Think of graffiti, not-too-perfect swipes of color, and color blocking graphics on nails. CND sets the trend every season, and we think Art Vandal will be one of everyone’s favorite collections in recent memory.
