As prom season winds down and we ready our clients for this momentous occasion, the beauty industry gears up for a milestone celebration as well – Premiere Orlando. PREMIERE ORLANDO SHOW PREVIEW
The Premiere show in Orlando is the largest professional beauty industry trade show in North America, and it is especially important for nail professionals. Most nail companies and brands are represented on the show floor, but the real draw is the free classroom education. Brands and educators often put their best foot forward and launch new products, techniques, and initiatives at Premiere.
I will be teaching four classes this year in Orlando, and I couldn’t be more excited. I am also officially launching my coaching brand, Ashley Gregory Coaching, and teaching two classes under that banner. It’s a jam-packed weekend that usually leaves me recovering on my couch for a week afterwards, but it’s totally worth it.
My class schedule is: PREMIERE ORLANDO SHOW PREVIEW
Two marquee after-hours events are the NAILS Magazine Next Top Nail Artist Finale and Social on Saturday night and the Cosmoprof Licensed to Create Awards Sunday night. I will be attending both, as the NAILS party is a great way to catch up with nail friends and celebrate, and I’m also a finalist in the Best Nail Art category for the #LTCAwards (fingers crossed!)
If that wasn’t enough, I’ll be designing the nail looks for the Cosmoprof Artistic Team runway presentation at the awards, and I can’t wait to see the amazing hair creations that the Artistic Team comes up with! If you’d like to attend the LTC awards, where the swag bag last year weighed more than a pre-schooler and was full of $400 worth of amazing pro products, click here to get your ticket. The show preview is a great tool for planning your show weekend. I always recommend planning your time around the classes you want to take, and getting show floor time in between them. Set a reminder on your phone for the class times as it is really easy to get caught up in the excitement of the show floor and miss them. If you attend the NTNA Social, there is a great coupon book that NAILS puts together that can save you some serious coin.
My list of essential Premiere Orlando must-haves are:
- A killer manicure – don’t hold back, it’s your time to shine
- Business cards
- A plan for which classes you must attend
- A few snacks in your bag as the lines for food are often long
- Comfortable shoes – so important
- A show guide book
- A comfortable bag to carry your many product scores and literature in that won’t break your back
- Show floor map – scout it out ahead of time
- Extra power pack for charging your phone
- Dress in layers for the freezing cold classrooms
- A notepad to jot quick notes in your classes and reminders to follow up
- Foot soak for your hotel bathtub 😉
If you’ll be in Orlando, make sure to reach out to me on Instagram at @thenailscape, and say hello if you see me running around like a mad woman! I am always excited to meet nail friends and I also hope to see you in my classes! Happy Premiere!
