The third day of New York Fashion Week really hit its stride with major Spring trends pouring out like the rain that plagued the streets across the city.
Bright spots appeared, and here are our favorite nail looks from day three:
Jill Stuart:
Zoya’s lead manicurist and team used the Naked Manicure system to show off a barely there, natural nail.
Noon by Noor:
Gina Edwards used Morgan Taylor “One and Only” and “Could Have Foiled Me” to create a subtle silver foiled stripe up the side of each nail to give a hint of metallic reflection under the runway lights.
Rebecca Minkoff:
The final look for Rebecca Minkoff was crowd-sourced again through social media by Essie’s Instagram account. Using “Tarte Deco,” “Marshmallow,” “Beach Bum Blue,” “Midnight Cami,” and “Spaghetti Strap” as topcoat, the team created an ombrΓ© effect towards the tip of the models’ nails.
Tibi:
Jin Soon Choi and team used her namesake line in multiple shades like “Tulle,” and “Doux,” along with a few unreleased Spring 2016 shades to create a refined tip design.
Altuzarra:
Julie Kandalec, with Essie, used shades “Like Linen” over the whole nail, everywhere but the moon, and then added one coat of “Au Natural” for a subtle mother-of-pearl finish.
Monique Lhuillier:
The Nailscape was lucky enough to be backstage at Monique Lhuillier with Morgan Taylor, and there will be an in-depth post about the experience tomorrow, however, the look was an understated French with a pop of color. Gina Edwards used “Simply Irresistible” and “Later Alligator” to create a fresh, garden party green look.
Alexander Wang:
Essie team created a matte, nude nail using undisclosed shades.
Check back tomorrow for a recap of Day 4 and more Street Style nails from NYFW.
